Performance of the Market
The market continued its positive momentum with the favourable foreign participation. The bench mark index ASPI moved between 6,388.55 & 6,424.59 points and settled the day at 6,423.13 with a gain of 35.28 points (0.55%). The S&P SL20 index also followed similar trend and closed the day in Green terrain at 3,395.71 with a marginal gain of 26.88 points (0.80%).

The total turnover for the day amounted to LKR 577.38Mn, charting a drop of 23.32% from its previously
recorded LKR 753.01Mn. The total market capitalization stood at LKR 2.74Tn, indicating an YTD drop of 6.85%.

The market PER and PBV was recorded as 16.18x and 1.84x with marginal gains.

Top Contributors - Turnover
ACL Cables PLC (ACL) spearheaded the turnover list by adding LKR 81.51Mn accounting for 14.12% of the day’s total turnover. ACL traded between LKR 106.40 & LKR 108.70 and settled the day at LKR 108.50 with a gain of LKR 1.50 or 1.40%. Around 98% of its turnover was contributed through two off market trades, which amounted to LKR 80.25Mn, where 750,000 shares were negotiated at a price of LKR 107.00

John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) stood second on the list by adding LKR 81.29Mn to the daily turnover. JKH traded between LKR 152.00 & LKR 156.00 and settled the day at LKR 155.00 with a gain of LKR 3.00 or 1.97%.

Asiri Hospital Holdings PLC (ASIR) contributed LKR 57.31Mn to the turnover and secured the third slot during the day. ASIR traded between LKR 25.60 & LKR 27.40 and settled the day at LKR 26.50 with a gain of LKR 0.60 or 2.32%. Around 94% of its turnover was contributed through an off market trade, which amounted to LKR 54.00Mn, where 2.00Mn shares were negotiated at a price of LKR 27.00

Tess Agro PLC [X] traded a total of 14.92Mn shares dominating the traded volumes.
