Sri Lanka’s state run Bank of Ceylon has finalized a deal to borrow a US$ 200 million syndicated loan from the international market, a media announcement by the Bank reveals.
According to the Bank, NDB Emirates Bank Dubai has arranged this loan on-behalf of the BOC.
The two parties will sign an agreement towards this on the 25th of July in Colombo.
“Earlier we have borrowed at a rate of 4 to 4.5-pct, but this time it would be the lowest in the country’s syndicated loan history”, Senior Deputy General Manager of the Bank, P.A. Lionel told in an earlier occasion.
