Sri Lanka Telecom and Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC has been removed from the S&P Sri Lanka 20 index as those two stocks no more qualify for index inclusion, announced the CSE.
Accordingly, Lanka Orix Leasing Company PLC and Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC has been included in the S&P 20 index, which represents the largest 20 stocks of the CSE.
The S&P 20 index, according to the CSE includes the largest 20 stocks, by total market capitalization, listed on the CSE that meet minimum size, liquidity and financial viability thresholds.
To be eligible for inclusion in the index, a stock must have a minimum float-adjusted market capitalization of Rs. 500 million, a six-month average daily value traded of Rs. 1 million, have been traded at least 10 days of each month for the three months prior to the re-balancing reference date, and have positive net income over the 12 months prior to the re-balancing reference date.
The new revision of the index will come into effect from 23rd of December.
