The Colombo Stock Market has recorded a daily turnover of nearly Rs. 03 billion due to a share transaction of Expolanka Holdings PLC today (02 February).
During this transaction, 313,816,001 Expolanka shares were traded at Rs. 8.30 each, totaling a turnover of Rs. 2.6 billion.
On inquiry, Expolanka Holdings Corporate Communications Division head Paddy Weerasekera said the shares thus traded were from Osman Cassim, the second largest shareholder at Expolanka Holdings and another shareholder.
The buyer is SG Holdings Global (Pte) Limited of Japan which has a share ownership of 51.43 per cent at Expolanka Holdings.
Through this transaction, SG Holdings Global’s shareholding at Expolanka Holdings rises to 67 per cent.
