The market closed down for the day on the back of 486Mn turnover. Foreigners were net sellers for the day while foreign participation accounted for 45% of the day's turnover. There were crossing in JKH,Watawala Plantations and Commercial Bank.
Hemas Signs BOI deal for USD 40Mn luxury hetel
Hemas holding torether with Minor Hotel Group of Thailand has finalized plans to construct and operate a luxury five star resort "Antara" on the southern coast of Sri Lanka in Tangalle, with an investment of USD 40Mn.
The 154 room five star resort will be completed by feb 2015 and will add to Hemas current portfolio of 410 rooms. The hotel will also boast three restaurants and prpose -built spa. The grouo through its Serendib Leisure Management Ltd. Manages AVANI Bentota Resort and Spa. AVANI kalutara Resort, Club Hotel Dolphin adn Hotel Sigiriya. Hemas Holdings Currently trades at FY14E PER of 7.8x.
Touchwood Trading suspended
Sri lanka securities and exchange commission said it had lunched a probe in to Tuuchwood, a forestry investment company and suspended trading in its stock.
